Matthew 23:11-12
11 The greatest among you must be a servant. 12 But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Matthew 20:28
28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Principle: Characteristics of a servant leader are humility, selflessness, obedience and being teachable.
Principle: A servant leader must have a disciplined prayer life.
Colossians 4:2
2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Thessalonians 5:17
Never stop praying.
Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Romans 8:26
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. 8 Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
