Water Baptism
Sunday, May 18th
Water Baptism is our public confession of faith. In Matthew 28 Jesus commands us to make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus started His earthly ministry, He was water baptized. The next step after accepting Christ is to be water baptized. When we are baptized, it is symbolic of the old man dying and coming back alive as a new creation in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17 New Living Translation
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
