Pastor Joshua begins a new sermon series speaking on the importance of gratitude and how the Lord is good all the days of our lives, and by remembering that, we create a space for spiritual and personal elevation.
Psalm 103:1–5 (NLT)
1 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. 2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. 3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. 5 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
1 Remember His Goodness
Principle: Remind Yourself to Praise the Lord.
Principle: Thanksgiving can change how you see your life.
2 Look Beyond the Problem
2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)
4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
Principle: Your present struggle does not erase God’s past faithfulness.
Psalm 77:11–12 (NLT)
11 But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. 12 They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.
Principle: Thanksgiving helps you remember the bigger picture.
3 Let Thanksgiving Strengthen Your Faith
Colossians 2:7 (NLT)
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Principle: As our faith grows, our gratitude grows. As our gratitude grows, our faith grows.
4 Give Him Your Whole Heart
Psalm 103:1 (NLT)
1 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Psalm 86:11–12 (NLT)
11 Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. 12 With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever
