Principle: Whatever you magnify, everything else shrinks by comparison – including your problems, your stress, and your anxiety.
Psalm 24:3 (NIV)
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?
Principle: Worship allows us to ascend and to remain.
– Abraham – God tells him to go to the mountain to worship (Genesis 22)
– Moses – God calls him up Mount Sinai to worship (Exodus 19)
– Elijah – he goes up the mountain, worships, and fire falls (1 Kings 18)
– Jesus – He frequently withdrew to the mountains to pray
Principle: Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Worshipers – not perfect people, but repentant people who seek God.
Principle: When we humble ourselves in worship, God’s response is to elevate us.
