Isaiah 60:1-2 NJKV
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
Principle: Without the SON, we have no light. We are like the moon, we reflect His light.
Psalm 119:105 NKJV
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
John 1:5 NKJV
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
1: Understand God is the source, and absorb the light.
2: Remove anything that blocks the light.
3: Your smile is your first testimony
Exodus 34:29-35 AMP
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining [with a unique radiance] because he had been speaking with God. When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to approach him. When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take off the veil until he came out. When he came out and he told the Israelites what he had been commanded [by God], the Israelites would see the face of Moses, how his skin shone [with a unique radiance]. So Moses put the veil on his face again until he went in to speak with God.
Principle: Time in his presence, where there is a conversation leads to a holy shine. Talk about Prayer.
Principle: No mask between you and God. It is honesty and total vulnerability.
4: Strategically use the light to help and lead others
John 8:12 NKJV
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Principle: There is a great responsibility when you are a carrier of the light because people will follow you.
Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. …..Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
5. Let God’s heart of Compassion make you shine the light on all who meet you…
Principle: Compassion is a Deep awareness of the suffering of another with a desire to help.
