Pastor Joshua preaches a message about transforming the mind of the believer from giving out of habit to giving out of expectation of a harvest because our God is the God of the Harvest.
Principle: A habit alone will not work. We have to shift our focus from habit to harvest.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Amplified Bible
7 Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].
Principle: We have to break out of old habits to embrace the new.
Isaiah 43:19 New International Version
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Principle: Some places and some revelations are just meant to be a temporary camp, not a permanent residence.
2 Corinthians 3:18 Amplified Bible
18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.
Principle: Our focus is first and foremost on Him, but it is secondarily on the things He is doing.
Matthew 6:33 New International Version
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
As I seek Him, a harvest of Good Things will be poured into my life. My focus is on the God of the Harvest.
Principle: He is the Lord of the Harvest.
Matthew 9:37-38 Amplified Bible
37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
Principle: Have faith and expectation for a harvest.
Principle: God wants to trust you, but often He’s waiting for you to be trustworthy.
Matthew 25:29 New Living Translation
29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
Principle: We have to get from habit mentality to harvest mentality.
Habakkuk 2:2 New International Version
2 Then the Lord replied:
“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
2 Corinthians 8:9 New Living Translation
9 …Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.
Matthew 9:37-38 New Living Translation
37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
