SERMON NOTES:
Overwhelmed:
Psalm 19:14 – King James Version
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be
acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Battle:
Genesis 2:15-17 – New Living Translation
15 The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend
and watch over it. 16 But the Lord God warned him, “You may
freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— 17 except the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure
to die.”
Principle: There is such a battle over our minds and we don’t really
realize it until we slow down or stop.
Proverbs 4:23 – New Living Translation
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Principle: God is giving you permission to take it easy one day a
week.
Peace:
Principle: You’ll never find peace if you’re always moving.
Principle: Our PEACE is found in following His PACE.
Hebrews 12:2 – New King James Version
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the
joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Just say No:
Principle: When you say no, you make space.
