Pastors Joshua and Keren preach on having compassion for our neighbors to bring them closer to Jesus and spread the Good News.
Matthew 9:36 New Living Translation
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Principle: Jesus had compassion and this compassion led him to reach people and touch people in a very authentic way.
Principle: When we lack compassion, it creates a host of problems in our faith walk.
Principle: We have to become unwilling to send people away without helping them.
Matthew 15:32 New Living Translation
32 Then Jesus called his disciples and told them, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”
James 2:15-16 New Living Translation
15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? What good is it to have a type of faith that leaves people in lack?
Principle: Our faith should bring us to sharing faith.
Mark 6:34 New Living Translation
34 Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. There is a great crowd and that crowd is like sheep without a shepherd.
Principle: Our job is to point people to the Good Shepherd.
