Pastor Joshua preaches on gratitude and the importance of having gratitude that lives within so that gratitude will be evident in our every day lives.

Psalm 34:1 New King James Version
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Luke 17:11-19 New Living Translation
Ten Healed of Leprosy
11 As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. 12 As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, 13 crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. 15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” 16 He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.”

Principle: Gratitude flows from the inside out, not the outside in.

Luke 6:45 New King James Version
45 …For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Principle: External things will never make you grateful.

Principle: Lasting gratitude comes from within.

Principle: It’s easy to be grateful in good times. It’s hard to grateful in difficulty.

Principle: When you’re squeezed, whatever is inside will come out.

Principle: Gratitude is the righteous perspective to have.

  3. Resentment
Resentment involves holding onto negative feelings about past experiences or perceived injustices, which can overshadow any sense of appreciation for positive aspects of life or support received from others.

Principle: We have to let go of the hurt and injustice to embrace gratitude.

Principle: We can only be grateful when we become willing to let go of hurt and injustice.

4. Negativity
Negativity is a general attitude of pessimism or cynicism that serves as an opposite of gratitude.

Principle: When you hold onto negativity, you cannot embrace gratitude.
