Pastor Keren begins a new sermon series on the love of God that heals all wounds, commanding us to advance into 2025 with a whole, healed heart.
Psalm 34:19 (New Living Translation)
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
Psalm 56: 8 (New Living Translation)
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
Principle: God sees me.
Hebrews 4:14-16 (New Living Translation)
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Principle: God understands where I’m coming from.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (New Living Translation)
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for
our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Principle: God wants to take my brokenness.
Principle: Sustained disappointment is the thief of hope.
Proverbs 13:12 (New Living Translation)
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Principle: I need to be a good steward of my heart.
Psalm 139:23-24 (New Living Translation)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Principle: Daily maintenance of my heart is vital for where God wants to take me.
Principle: Unforgiveness will stop your growth.
Ephesians 4:31-32 (New Living Translation)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
