From Lack to Plenty

Pastor Joshua preaches about how the God is the God of provision and that we are meant to be moved by compassion to exemplify his provision.

John 2:1-11 New Living Translation
1 The next day there was a wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, 2 and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. 3 The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” 5 But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
6 Standing nearby were six stone water jars, used for Jewish ceremonial washing. Each could hold twenty to thirty gallons. 7 Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” When the jars had been filled, 8 he said, “Now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies.” So the servants followed his instructions. 9 When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. 10 “A host always
serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!” 11 This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

John 10:10 New Living Translation
10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy….

Principle: The more we see the problems of others and pour out the compassion of Christ, miracles and provision will follow.

John 2:5 New Living Translation
5 …“Do whatever he tells you.”

Principle: DO whatever He says!

Principle: The more we help others get to the place of plenty, we ourselves will be thrust into the place of plenty.

1 Kings 10:21 New International Version
21 All King Solomon’s goblets were gold, and all the household articles in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Nothing was made of silver, because silver was considered of little value in
Solomon’s days.

Revelation 21:21 New International Version
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

1 Kings 10:4-5 New International Version
4 When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built, 5 the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the Lord, she was overwhelmed.

John 2:11 New Living Translation
11 This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him

Principle: When God performs a Provision Miracle, it is one of the ways He REVEALS His Glory.

Matthew 6:33 New International Version
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
