2 Corinthians 5:16 New Living Translation
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
John 3:1-7 New Living Translation
1 There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. 2 After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”
3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
4 “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”
5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’
Principle: When you come to Christ you are born again.
Principle: When you are Reborn you have a New Life.
Principle: Without the New Life that comes from Christ your life will always be lacking.
Romans 12:2 New Living Translation
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Principle: Don’t start copying the world again.
Principle: We must relevant, but not the same.
John 17:15-18 New International Version
15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
Principle: God wants to RENEW the way you think.
Principle: My TOP GOAL is to be like Jesus.
Principle: Part of this New Life is saying goodbye to the old.
Principle: I judge myself as part of His Culture.
Galatians 3:27-29 New Living Translation
27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. 28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
