Pastor Joshua talks about the 5 Principles of Overflow we can learn from the story of Jesus feeding the 5000.
5 Principles of Overflow
Principle #1 – You must CHASE after Him.
Matthew 14:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns.
Matthew 6:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Principle #2 – You must RECOGNIZE Him.
Mark 6:32-33 New Living Translation (NLT)
32 So they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone. 33 But many people recognized them and saw them leaving, and people from many towns ran ahead along the shore and got there ahead of them.
Principle #3 – You must look for the SUPERNATURAL.
Mark 6:35-36 New Living Translation (NLT)
35 Late in the afternoon his disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. 36 Send the crowds away so they can go to the nearby farms and villages and buy something to eat.”
Principle #4 – It’s not about what you DON”T have.
Mark 6:37 New Living Translation (NLT)
37 But Jesus said, “You feed them.”
“With what?” they asked. “We’d have to work for months to earn enough money to buy food for all these people!”
Principle #5 – You must SOW a SEED
John 6:8-9 New Living Translation (NLT)
8 Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up. 9 “There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”
