The Gift of Giving
More Blessed:
Acts 20:35 New Living Translation
And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Principle: As we mature, giving becomes the focus.
A Generous Man:
Proverbs 11:25 New Living Translation
The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Proverbs 11:25 Amplified Bible
The generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched,
And he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown].
Principle: The generous person shall prosper.
Proverbs 28:22 New Living Translation
Greedy people try to get rich quick
but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty.
Matthew 6:33 New Living Translation
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Principle: If I put money first I end up in poverty. If I put God first I end up with everything I need.
Better to Sow:

Principle: If your last move is to reap there is no future harvest.
Principle: A foolish man eats all his harvest, a wise man saves and sows.
