And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
The Power of God’s Love
Romans 8:38-39 – New Living Translation
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing Can Separate Us:
Principle: When I lean into His love and grow in His love it not only changes me, it also changes others.
Fear and Worries:
Romans 8:38a – New Living Translation
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow
Principle: If worry and fears can’t separate me from God’s Love why focus any time on them?
1 Peter 5:7 – New Living Translation
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Principle: When we explore the love of God we are exploring the possibility and the ability to lay down our worries and fears.
1 John 4:18a – New Living Translation
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear…
Principle: The more of God‘s Love I get in me, the more fear has to leave me.
The Powers of Hell:
Romans 8:38 – New Living Translation
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
Principle: I can rest assured knowing no matter what the devil can concoct it cannot separate me from God’s Love.
In All The World:
Romans 8:39 – New Living Translation
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Getting Stronger:
Ephesians 3:17-19 – New Living Translation
17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Principle: God’s love grows in me the more I put my trust in him.
