Hebrews 12:1 New International Version
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
Principle: Unshakable if the crowd is for us, or they are against us. Both can be highly motivating.
Principle: You are unshakable, if you learn in every area of your life, you’ve got to finish… strong!
Hebrews 12:2 New International Version
2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Principle: The unshakable believer knows how to focus on what motivates them and brings them joy
Hebrews 12:3 New International Version
3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Principle: The unshakable lifestyle it’s not moved by what is politically correct, but what is biblically correct.
Principle: You will fail to be unshakable, if you do not protect your strength and your soul.
Hebrews 12:4 New International Version
4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Principle: The unshakable mentality is wearing your big boy or your big girl pants.
Hebrews 12:5 New International Version
5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his. son.”
Principle: You become unshakable if you love discipline.
Hebrews 12:7 New International Version
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
Principle: The unshakable believer has people in their life that hold them accountable.
Principle: The unshakable believer understands submission is not weakness, but it is strategic to victory.
Hebrews 12:10 New International Version
10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Principle: To be unshakable is not easy or pleasant. Being unshakable is painful, but it produces a great harvest of peace and righteousness.
Hebrews 12:12 New International Version
12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
Principle: You’ll never be unshakable if you don’t know how to work out physically and spiritually.
Principle: If you’re unshakable, you owe it to your children and the people following you to blaze a path for them.
Hebrews 12:14 New International Version
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Principle: To be unshakable, you have to be willing to not be influenced by the world system.
Hebrews 12:15 New International Version
15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Principle: The prophetic word for this year was not I am unshakable, it’s we are unshakable.
Hebrews 12:26 New International Version
26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”
Principle: When God speaks it shakes things up that needs to be shaken up. And as his children, so do we.
Hebrews 12:25 New International Version
25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
Hebrews 12:27 New International Version
27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
Principle: We are God’s unshakable people in a world where everything will be removed that can be shaken. That is good news.
Hebrews 12:28 New International Version
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
Principle: You are only unshakable if you live in the Kingdom of God with Kingdom principles.
Principle: You cannot be unshakable without the Holy Spirit. But throughout the New Testament, the Holy Spirit comes with fire.
Luke 5:37-39 New International Version
37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. 39 And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’”
